User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design encompass many aspects of a website including the visual design, information architecture, content, usability, and interactive features (animations, user interactions, etc.).

The design process starts with client input which occurs throughout the Discovery and Design phases. Before creating the design concepts we complete a Creative Brief, primary & secondary design research, a sitemap, and a prototype (wireframes).

Our design credo includes:

• Emphasis on a ‘clean’ design i.e. not over-designing or adding gratuitous design elements.
• Highlighting messaging and content over design.
• A generous use of white space to make pages easier to read and use.
• Using color sparingly to help highlight ‘calls to action’ and conversion.
• Utilizing a Responsive Web Design and a Mobile First development approach.
• Adhering to usability standards making sites easy to use e.g. standardized navigation, user interactions (mouseovers, links, visited links), large font sizes, and open layouts with vertical scrolling.
• Adhering to Accessibility standards e.g. WCAG 2.2 in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act.
• Large font sizes e.g. standard paragraph text at 16 pt or larger
